How should I clean the Cooling System effectively?
Warning!
Disconnect the engraver from power before cleaning.
With typical usage, the coolant should be clear for an extended period. For safety purposes, we recommend doing a thorough cleaning of the coolant tank at least once a year. If the coolant becomes visibly contaminated, discontinue work and clean the tank and pipe as instructed below.
Tools Needed:
- Baster/fluid extractor
- Funnel
- Distilled water/laser-safe coolant
Step 1: Turn off and unplug the engraver.
Step 2: Unplug the right panel’s LED light, the induction switch, and the key line.
Step 3: Remove the front and rear screws of the right panel and remove the panel.
Step 4: Unseal the tank and extract the old fluid with a baster or fluid extractor.
Step 5: Refill the tank with clean water.
Step 6: Return the engraver to working order and run the system for a few minutes.
Step 7: Repeat steps 1–6 until no impurities can be found in the coolant tank.
Step 8: When the system has been thoroughly cleaned, refill the tank with distilled water or laser-safe coolant.
Step 9: Reseal the tank and return the engraver to working order.
