USB connection failure
When your control computer cannot be connected to the machine through Lightburn, make sure your Lightburn license is compatible with the DSP type of machine (if it doesn't support DSP, go to Lightburn's official website or our store to upgrade your license).
When your license supports DSP-type machines, test with RDworks to sort out the possibility of a failed software.
If RDWorks also fails,
- Check if the USB driver has been installed first (install the driver when installing RDWorks).
- If you are using a MAC, see the connection instructions at: https://aloriumtech.com/how-to-fix-ftdi-driver-issue-on-mac-and-macos/
- If the problem persists, use a different USB port, or a different USB cable, or test with another computer.
- If RDWorks works but Lightburn does not, add the device manually (as shown).
If this fails, then it is the compatibility of the software that’s causing the problem. Try using the ethernet to connect.
