Laser beam instability in the laser tube
When the laser seems to be wobbling in the laser tube, check that the power is set to no lower than 20%. This happens when the laser is not fully fired under low power settings.
When the power setting is normal, but the beam is bent at the cathode (it looks like it is hitting the cathode pole from different angles), check how far the bent is from the cathode pole.
- If the bent is within 2cm from the cathode pole, rest assured that this is normal.
- If the bent is more than 2cm from the cathode pole, replace the laser tube with a new, identical one.
If the power setting is normal, but the engraving result is not as expected, troubleshoot per Weakened laser performance>>.
