Unusual noise when the laser head returns to its origin
In most cases, this might be caused by an untriggered limit switch. Troubleshoot by the steps below.
- Remove the glass cover on the left side of the engraver.
- Remove the metal plate on top of the main board.
- Check the status of LED1 and LED3 on the main board.
Under normal circumstances, LED1 and LED3 will light up when the laser head returns to its origin along the X and Y axes, go out, light up again, and finally go out.
If LED1 (or LED3) is always off, the limit switch might not have been triggered. You can test it with a magnet to ensure the problem. If the LED indicator lights up when the magnet is closed, adjust the magnet position of the machine. If not, replace the limit switch.
