Weird X/Y axis movements
In most cases, weird X/Y axis movements might be caused by wrongly set parameters. You can easily solve this by re-importing the parameters of the mainboard (The file can be found in the U disk that came with your engraver).
If re-importing the parameter fails, follow the steps below to reset the laser head’s origin first, which is necessary for further debugging.
- Manually move the laser head to the middle of the workbed.
- Reboot the engraver.
Normally, the laser head should start to move toward its origin along the X and Y axis, retract a little, then return to the origin, and finally retract a little, which means the origin resetting has finished.
Meanwhile, the button is glowing green. Now, identify and troubleshoot your axis problem(s) against the problems listed below.
Non-responsive X axis and Y axis>>
Laser head not moving along the X axis after powering on (Y axis normal)>>
Laser head not moving along the Y axis after powering on (X axis normal)>>
Laser head slowly moving in the opposite direction after powering up>>
Unusual noise when the laser head returns to its origin>>
X and Y axes non-responsive with the button unlit, buttons glowing green after 1 minute>>
Laser head not retracting after returning to the origin (no noise)>>
