What if I miss the scheduled delivery time?
The LTL carrier will call you in advance to make an appointment for the delivery so please make sure you are available at the scheduled time.
If you are not at home during delivery, the carrier will call the number listed on the BOL. If they cannot reach someone within 10-15 minutes of arrival, the carrier will return the shipment to the terminal to await a reschedule.
The carrier will try and accommodate your schedule and arrange for another day. If that day is more than 3 days after the goods have arrived at the final terminal, storage fees will be incurred. Most carriers will attempt 2-3 times; if the delivery still cannot be completed, the goods will be returned. You may be responsible for the extra charge when this kind of case arises.
