Follow the normal protocols to fire the laser and listen carefully for the buzzing sound of the laser source.

• The fan is not running after the power key switch has been turned. 

  1. Remove the panel on the control unit.
  2. Measure the input and output of the power supply of the laser source.
  • If you are not getting a reading from the power input of the power supply but no reading from the power output, then replace the laser source power source with a new, identical one.
  • If the output is normal and the laser marker is still not energized.
  1. Check the continuity of the power key switch.
  2. If it has tested normal, replace the laser source with a new identical one.

• If the fan and the laser are up and running,

1. Initiate the software to make a mark.
   1. As this happens, move the Galvo head along the range of its motion.
   2. Check whether a mark is forming on the workpiece.

2. If no mark has formed, 

   1. Remove the panel on the control unit.
   2. Measure the input and output voltage of the laser source. The normal reading is 24V.
   • If the voltage measures normal, the problem lies in the laser source. Replace it with a new, identical one.
   • If the voltage measures different, replace the power supply of the laser source.
