Remove the motor drive plugs and try moving the gantry.

• If it can move smoothly, there is nothing wrong with the motor or the gantry.
• If you have encountered damping along the range of movement, check the belt and track of the X and Y axes for any sign of binding or lack of lubrication. Lubricate as needed.
