Axis moving in only one direction
1. Restore factory settings>>.
2. Check if the problem persists after rebooting.
- If the axis can move in both directions after rebooting, generally, the problem lies in the control panel and it can be sorted out using your control software.
- Use your control software to move the axis in either direction. If it can travel in both directions, then the control panel is faulty; replace it with a new, identical one.
- If the software didn’t work either, the mainboard is faulty; replace it with a new, identical one.
- If the fault axis doesn't move when rebooting, unplug the limit switch terminal from the mainboard (as shown) and test again.
- If this worked, the limit switch is faulty; replace it with a new, identical one.
- If it didn’t,
- Swap the X and Y axis plugs on the mainboard
- Reboot the engraver and press Esc to exit returning to the origin.
- Press the direction keys on the panel to check the axis movement.
- If the same key on the panel still does not move the axis, it indicates a panel or motherboard fault. You can connect the software to perform the test.
- If it moves normally in the software, it is a panel failure.
- If it can't be moved from the software either, it's a motherboard failure.
2. If the same key on the panel moves the axis, the motor drive needs to be replaced.
