Unusual axis noise upon starting to move
Step 1: Restore factory settings>>.
Step 2: Check the tracks, belts, belt pulleys, Y-axis couplers, and other mechanical parts for any breakage or deformation.
A. If any, replace them with identical ones.
B. If there is no mechanical abnormality,
- Open the access door and check the drivers’ indicators.
Case 1: If it does not light up, see "Driver not lighting up>>" to troubleshoot.
Case 2: If the indicator of the driver does light up,
check whether the input voltage of the driver is normal (as shown).
If the input voltage is normal (generally 24V or 36V),
- Swap the motor plug of the axis in question with the working one. (as shown)
- Check whether the fault axis transfers to another axis.
- If not, replace a new, identical motor.
- If so, swap all the remaining plugs on the two drivers. Check whether the faulty transfers to the initial fault axis.
(a) If it does, the mainboard is faulty; replace it with a new, identical one.
(b) If it doesn't, the driver needs to be replaced.
