How do I replace the Coolant?
Warning!
- Disconnect the engraver from power before replacing the coolant.
- NEVER touch or adjust your laser’s water supply while it is still turned on or connected to power.
- If your chiller has a separate manual for cleaning its internal pipes, follow the manual.
If the coolant becomes visibly contaminated, discontinue work and clean the tank and pipe as instructed below:
Tools Needed:
- Funnel
- Distilled water/laser-safe antifreeze
Step 1: Turn off and unplug the engraver.
Step 2: Access the drain port and remove the cap.
Step 3: Fully drain the old coolant.
Step 4: Remove the chiller fill port cap and fill the tank to the level stated in the chiller’s manual.
Note: Use laser-safe antifreeze or with pure, distilled water, depending on the weather conditions
Step 5: Wait for a couple of minutes and check the cooling liquid level in the chiller. If it is below the level stated in the manual, use the access keys to open the rear access door and carefully check the laser bay and bottom left access door for leakage.
Step 6: Once all tubes are checked, fill the tank to its stated level with more laser-safe antifreeze or pure, distilled water.
